Krishnaveni Panjalai Review:
Debutant Dinesh Padmanabhan is out with a movie that is set in a cotton mill in 1990s.The workers trouble, romance between two employees and their travails are chronicled in the movie.The movie is set in 1990s before globalisation.
Hemachandran and Nandana plays the lead role.The music is the movie's mainstay with Ragh8unandan scoring some lilting melodies.
The movie
Kathir (Hemachandran) and Poongothai (Nandana) work in Krishnaveni Panjalai owned by a businessman (Rajiv Krishna).,who is cool and noble-hearted.He is admired by all and he lives life to the fullest.He helps Krishnaveni's sister who falls in love and against all odds, ensures she marries her beloved. But they are soon found dead. This results a fear in Krishnaveni when she falls for Kathir.
In such a scenario, there is a lock out in the mill.Workers strike forces the closure.What happens then is a soul-stirring end.
Performance
Hemachandran is the backbone of the movie. Nandhana chips in with her best. Their on-screen chemistry is good.They give their best on screen. The likes of Bala Singh, Thennavan, M S Bhaskar leave their mark well. Rajeev Krishna is the scene-stealer. He dazzles well.Analysis
Music by Raghunandan is good.His catchy melodies are good. Suresh Bhargav's cinematography is amazing. Dhanapal Padmanabhan makes a good debut. His work deserves a pat.A honest attempt indeed.
